Curated for the Creative

Our studio owner/operator, Kathy Jo Kahn, has partnered with Emmy Award-Winning producer and composer Bubba Jones to thoughtfully curate an intelligent and inspiring space for the creative soul.

At the center of HopeFire studio, you will find our vintage T40 Midas mixing console steeped in rich history. Known exclusively for its use at the Grand 'ole Opry from 1978 to 1992, this console was used to record and produce some of Nashville’s finest musicians for film, television, and radio.

The console’s most recent home was Bubba’s personal studio in Snohomish, WA. We look forward to its triumphant return to the workforce following essential restorative maintenance provided by Condor Electronics.

Our space features 4 unique rooms, a variety of great microphones, fantastic gear, and everything you need to meet your live sound or private performance needs.
  • Room A is a “dead room” intended  to make it possible to apply digital effect on a dry recording, vocals for your music, voice over work for TV/film/audiobooks, or foley work.

  • Room B is Kathy Jo’s uniquely designed space to compose and edit her personal projects and incorporate live instruments and vocals with her MIDI & Finale projects.

The room is “Plug and play” for the digital creator/composer/producer. Complete with a 27” visual monitor,  Thunderbolt 3 docking station, a StreamDeck 3x5, KRK Rockit 8 desktop monitors, an M-Audio Keystation 88, an ALESIS Strike Muiltipad Drum Machine and a Scarlett 18i8 Audio Interface.

There is even room for a guest or 2 & visual access to both the Live Room and the Control Room.

  • Room C — The Control Room provides a comfortable space to continue the mix and edit process with our staff and your team. It provides a proper listening space for playback to ensure satisfaction with the end product.

It is also designed to be a perfect place to just come in and rest after a long workday, unwinding with friends and reminiscing around the production table.

  • The largest of our 4 rooms, The Live Room (also known as “Thane’s Room," in honor of our dear friend and in-house session drummer) is equipped for a variety of applications.

Drummers will enjoy ample room to set up and stretch out with easy load in/out.  This room could also host a private event, live stream, podcast, a master/training class, or serve as a filming space.
